Riccardo CANESSA

Born in Milano he has a degree in Speech Therapy. After starting as a lyric voice technician, artistic director and producer, with the organization of 2 tours in the USA with the Italian National Opera, in the summer of 1998 he arrives as an assistant  diretor to the Verona Arena Foundation.

He debuts as absolute director at Verona Philharmonic Theatre in November 1999 with La Traviata, Teatro Verdi in Salerno, Teatro Verdi in Padova, Teatro Comunale of Adria.
In 2001 he was invited to Spain to various representations of Rigoletto, the Municipal Opera debut in Marseille.
After the success of Don Trastullo at the Teatro San Carlo in Naples, he directs the Puccini Festival in Torre del Lago, and tours in Macao and Tienjin (China), Teatro Verdi in Pisa and the Guang-Zhou Turandot Festival.
